
University of Pittsburgh students Micah Toll and Thorin Tobiassen founded Pulse Motors an electric vehicle start-up aiming to provided cost effective vehicles to the public while helping lower societies dependency on gasoline.
Their first vehicle is the PEVO; Personal Electric Vehicle Zero, a hybrid human-electric vehicle with fully functional bike pedals which you can ride a like a bicycle or twist the throttle to accelerate quickly enough to even conquer Pittsburgh’s steep slopes. The vehicle will be unveiled to the public on August 28th 2011.
