We all have seen the dinosaurs on top of the 10th St. Bridge and wonder where they came from and who was crazy enough to paint such a thing. The answer is Tim Kaulen, who describes his work as geese.
Some may not be familiar with his name but many have seen his urban art throughout the city for years. With the influence and resources of the Brew House in the 90s his work of used posters and metal cutouts were often placed high above on park fences as well as hung below the Duquesne brewery clock and in old warehouses and factories such as the cork factory.
Not all of his work was urban street art. Tim has been contracted by the city and other organizations and most recently has completed work for the new Childrens Hospital called One Great Blue.
It doesn’t matter what you call his work above the 10th st. bridge as long as the bridge stays rusty his work will continue to amaze. Perhaps if the bridge is ever repainted the city would allow him to legally paint the well known geese again.
