South Side loses another icon

As the South Side continues to expand into more night clubs (a rebellious trend opposed by the community), it begins to lose iconic stores that were part of South Side’s original transformation. One of the recent announcements is for the closing of the Bead Mine, a niche store that offered a unique charm to the South Side for eighteen years.

It is sad to see a business close that was charished by the community. Nevertheless for all the old time South Siders they will keep the Bead Mine locked into memory along with the South Side Street Spatacular and other lost treasures.
