
A popular event that occurs from London to San Fransisco will now be seen in the streets of Pittsburgh this April! Pittsburgh’s Tweed Ride will take place on April 3rd, so be sure to be a dapper chap and rock some tweed!

While some may find Pittsburgh romantically challenged the new ABC show staring Alyssa Milano will explore love in our city. Milano discussed some details of the new show on Entertainment Tonight, check out the video.
Premise: An ensemble comedy about four friends trying to find love and happiness in Pittsburgh, often unsuccessfully. Alyssa Milano stars as Rebecca, a very recently divorced mom of a 15-year-old boy who hasn’t dated since the 90’s. Rebecca’s best friend since childhood, Perry (Bonheimer), is a sensitive romantic who falls in love with women 20 minutes after meeting them. Perry lives with his best friend Shawn (Lawson), a struggling writer and ladies man who depends on Perry for financial stability. Rounding out the group is Rebecca’s younger sister Lisa (Stables), a sweet kindergarten teacher who tries to hurt every man before he can hurt her. Directed by James Burrows (Friends, Will & Grace) and written by Ricky Blitt (Family Guy).
Google wishes to investigate the potential of ultrafast internet connections here in Pittsburgh. This is fantastic news for Pittsburgh, Google PGH, and Pittsburgh’s technology industry.

Today is a sad day in Squirrel Hill as it was announced that the Squirrel Hill Theater that has been a neighborhood landmark for nearly 75 years will be closing. The theatre has been facing hard economic times and could not compete with the competition of newer theaters. There is some hope that the theatre could continue to serve for specialized films, and the owner is exploring other possible solutions for using its other screens.
